This year’s chosen charities will be

St Andrew’s Hospice

St Andrew’s Hospice is one of the few hospices in the UK to offer services for adults and children on the same site. We have been delivering high-quality, person-centred care to adults across North East Lincolnshire for 45 years, and to children and young people in Lincolnshire, Hull and the East Riding for 23 years.

As well as nursing and medical care, we offer practical advice, emotional support, bereavement support and a comprehensive wellbeing programme.

As a registered charity, we rely on the generosity of our local community to keep providing the excellent, specialised care we offer. Our vision ‘Making Each Day Count’ is more than words – it is a reality for the adults, children and families who use our services.

Lindsey Lodge

Lindsey Lodge has been providing high quality, specialist palliative care and wellbeing services to local people and families living with life limiting illnesses for over 30 years.

Lindsey Lodge is more than just end of life care, offering a wide-range of personalised care from the point of a palliative diagnosis, which is provided by a versatile team of different professional staff and volunteers. As an independent charity working across North Lincolnshire, Lindsey Lodge provide a wide range of services including symptom management, physiotherapy, Lymphoedema clinic, fatigue and breathlessness services, complimentary therapy, and end of life care along with bereavement and family support services.

As North Lincolnshire’s only local hospice we are proud that we are there for families at their most vulnerable time. Our services are free of charge, but not free of cost. Lindsey Lodge costs 4.4 million pounds to run every year, with only one third of that funded from the NHS. Lindsey Lodge must raise the rest through fundraising and their retail stores so that they can keep providing their excellent care. As a local charity, Lindsey Lodge are proud that every penny raised stays in North Lincolnshire, to help the people of North Lincolnshire.Every penny you donate to Lindsey Lodge goes towards making our patients’ and families’ lives easier while they are being cared for by the Hospice. Your money helps us to buy the necessary nursing care, equipment and food to help people live in comfort when they are receiving our specialist care.
